Regular Season Round 10: MAFC - VSA 100-66

There was an upset when bottom-ranked GeorgianVSA (0-4) was smashed by thirteenth ranked Hungarian MAFC (5-3) in Budapest 100-66 on Sunday. The game without a history. MAFC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. MAFC shot 25 for 35 from the free-throw line, while VSA only scored seven points from the stripe. MAFC forced 26 VSA turnovers and outrebounded them 40-25 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. MAFC looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by VSA 's players. The winners were led by Aron Tolgyesi who scored that evening 16 points and 6 rebounds and Donat Nemeth supported him with 12 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Even 21 points and 5 rebounds by Ilia Chachkhunashvili did not help to save the game for VSA . Andria Rakviashvili added 12 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. MAFC have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place which they share with defeated VSA . Loser VSA still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with 12 other teams.
